The Dream

One beautiful spring evening, while Don and I were sitting with friends on their patio, enjoying the sunset and sipping on a glass of wine, our vision was born. The desert landscape was bathed in the glow of the setting sun. What a lovely way to spend the evening. We were reminiscing and dreaming when someone said:

“Can you picture this valley planted in grapes with all of us on the veranda of a tasting room enjoying a sunset like this one?”

.

The Dream Continues

More About Us

The next day we were digging in the dirt for a soil sample to send out for testing to assess how well wine grapes might grow here. We were ecstatic when the results of the soil sample showed the soil to be ideal for cultivating a vineyard, and we began dreaming of building a winery. As our dreams started taking shape and growing, we began to realize the full impact of our vision:

“What if we make it a large enough venue to host weddings, holiday parties, corporate meetings and other events – and make it a place that our entire community will be proud of?”

We started pursuing our dream to make it become a reality and met with an architect who was very enthusiastic about the project.

Stetson Winery and Event Center was born. On November 11, 2012, we celebrated our official opening.

We give great appreciation to all our friends and supporters and to Imagine Photography who has kindly allowed us to use their fabulous photos.

Wines

Our wines have been master crafted by award winning vintner, Eric Glomski. Eric’s passion as a winemaker began a number of years ago while experimenting with making hard cider from apples. When he opened the first bottle, he was stunned. The wine was evocative. This epiphany has blossomed into a stellar career. In 2012, Eric’s wines were chosen as the official wines for the Arizona State Centennial celebrations.
